Description


Cellophane Noodles, also referred to as "Bean Thread" or "Transparent noodles", are made from mung beans instead of grain flour. These are delicate, almost flavorless noodles used in China and Japan. Bean Thread Noodles are added to soups, braised dishes, deep fried or used as a garnish. Once the Noodles have soaked, they become soft, springy and translucent. These Noodles are popular in vegetarian dishes because they are a vegetable product. When fried, these noodles puff up and become very white and crispy, allowing for use as a bed for stir fried dishes.
